Santa Claus has BEEN HERE!

Merry Christmas!
Santa Claus was here! The Boy and I got neat things. We had Fancy Feast grilled beef. Then we openened presents. We got new water bowls. They're shiny and silvery - I'll be the water will stay cool a long time! That Boy got a new bed that looks like the couch. Maybe he'll leave the tree skirt alone now.
I KNEW I SMELLED CATNIP! We got Cosmic catnip pillows and two Wrestle Wrats. (Those are the red and blue things next to me on the table there) Here is me with the blue wrestle wrat. Merry Christmas, everybody!

Christmas is coming!

Here is me! Our steps are so much awesome! I haven't gotten any of the fruit off of the bannister garlands this year. It makes Mom mad when I knock the fruit off and play with it. I used to have a big brother who liked to do things like that. He climbed the tree and everything. That BOY we have now likes to wash the tree and the garlands. That's just plain silly. But he doesn't like to climb up on things, either.
Guess what Mom did? She filled the water dish tonight, and I came down for a drink. Of course that BOY couldn't wait, so I had to keep interrupting my drink to growl at him to back off. So mom filled another bowl! Now we both have a water dish! Yay!
Our stocking didn't come back yet, but there's a present that smells a LOT like a pet store! I can't wait!

I was bad.

But honestly, that BOY gets on my nerves!! He was sitting on the steps yesterday to keep me from going upstairs (That's okay if I do it. I'm the senior cat). I got really mad and things got howly and mom yelled at us. Then she freaked out because I lost a claw sheath and it got stuck on the Boy's nose. She caught him and pulled it off and then got really mad at me. I can't help when those things crack off! I don't shed claws on purpose!
Maybe it won't matter, though. She came home with lots and lots of bags today. I KNOW I smell catnip, and our Christmas stocking has disappeared. Unless it disappeared because Santa isn't coming? Maybe I'll worry. Just a little.

The Boy Is BAAD!!

This is that boy. Do you know what he's sleeping on? Mom came home for lunch and found the tree skirt missing from the Christmas tree. Which is across the ROOM from where he is! See? This is why I don't like him. He's sneaky. He stole that tree skirt! Just because he used to like to sleep under the tree every Christmas, he thinks he owns the tree skirt! Mom moved the tree this year, and the Boy doesn't approve of where she put it. And don't ask me how he got the tree skirt off without knocking down the whole Christmas tree, breaking everything, and setting off the burglar alarm. I stayed upstairs. I'm being good. If he doesn't behave, Santa will skip this house for YEARS!

Beddie with a View

This is the ultimate. Mom meant to put the clothes away, but ran out of time. So a whole basket full of clean clothes. In the bay window, which has two radiators - one under each window. I can see the Christmas decorations outside and hear it if anything is happening. Difficult to get to, but worth it.

Oh, Grooooosss!!

Okay, this is just the kind of thing I'm talking about with that... boy. Look at what he does. It's gross. Here, he's drinking normally. See? He can do it. But he usually doesn't.

THIS is what he does! It's DISGUSTING! He sticks his PAW in the water dish, scoops out water, and drinks out of his paw! Do you know where that paw has BEEN!?!? Believe me, I do! And he sticks it in the water dish that we SHARE!! Sometimes, he sticks toys in there. Lord knows why. Then he puts them in the dry food dish. The boy is disturbed. He disturbs ME. I don't like him.

At last! Toasting Toes

I finally gave in. For weeks now, I've heard Mom coming with
the camera and rolled over quick before she could take a picture. But it's Mom's birthday this week, so I decided to let her take this. We call this "toasting toes". The radiator is so warm and I like to stick my foot out when I sleep. Mom says my foot looks like a marshmallow on a stick.
We've been decorating for Christmas here, so I'm exhausted. Especially since I was sick last night. I ate some yellow stuff and it didn't agree with me. Mom said it was Easter grass, it didn't even LOOK like food, where did I get it, and what was I thinking? I don't know -- I like that stuff. Back to sleep!

None Shall Pass!

I stay upstairs most of the time. That ... boy stays downstairs.
It's better that way. He doesn't bother me and I can get lots of sleep. I have to keep watch on the stairs, though. He can come up if he has a good excuse -- like if he has to go potty. But no other reason! As for mom, she can come up, but I have to get plenty of scritches on the head first.

Gotcha Day

Gotcha day is when some kitties and their people celebrate the day the people "got cha" I don't like my gotcha day. I like living here (except for that ... boy. I don't like him) but my gotcha day was scary and still is. There were kids running around outside with plastic bags. I was really little and I don't know how I got out there. My grandma found me and caught me and put me on her porch.

I wasn't the only one scared that night. Mom was afraid to leave
her house because scary people had come in and stolen things. My grandma told her to come and see me, and mom did. It was the first time she'd gone out at night since the people took her things. Mom loved me and named me Maggie right away. And a day later I got to go live with mom. But it's still a scary day. Every year these kids come to the door with crinkly bags and I remember being scared and cold. It's bad enough when people come to the door. So I wait in my little hiding place. See? I even have my own radiator. It's comfier than it looks. It is NOT a jail!

Senior Cat

The best part of being senior cat is that I get to be first on the featherbed after Mom washes the sheets. She gets the featherbed all poofy, puts the bedclothes on, and then calls for me to come and depoof it. So here is me on the bed.

And here is me depoofing the bed. It's hard to get up there, but so worth it when I do. Sometimes there are scritches or brushes, but mostly it's just comfy.

I go to jail.

The best thing about my doll bed is that under it is a good place to hide. This isn't a very good picture, but the whole point of being under here is to HIDE. If someone can still take my picture, that takes the whole point out of it. Plus, Mom insists on saying I'm "in jail" which I don't think sounds very nice. I'm not in jail. I can leave whenever I want.

Here is me out of hiding - trying to be cute so I get belly rubs. When I roll on the floor and rub my ear, that means I want scritches.

Nom! Nom! Nom!

This is me on the porch. I don't often get to go here because of that boy. He goes out a lot, and I don't like him. But sometimes he's not there and I can go out and eat things that really gross Mom out. Like spider webs! Yummm!!
Now I'll have to hide. I try to keep some on my whiskers for later, but Mom's going to try to clean them off.

Hee Hee The Bed!!

Sometimes I get the bed. And all of it to myself. That... boy doesn't like it when the blankets and featherbed is off, but that doesn't bother me. And when the bed is made again, I get to be the first to de-poof the featherbed! That's because I'm the Senior Cat. And because I'm ... me.

All Clean Now!

I like to be brushed, but I don't like the kitty bath wipes. Like them or not, though, I have to put up with it. So I do. And then I figure that means I get to sleep on the clean laundry. Why not? I'm clean; the laundry's clean. It's all good.

The Chair

This is my best place. It's a chair in the hall. I sleep here every night. I used to get to sleep in the bed, but that... Marshall sleeps there now and I don't like him. He doesn't sleep in my chair. It is mine.

My Best Fave

Here is me in my faborite bed. Nice and warm in winter and two teddy bears when I gets lonely. Since this is a doll bed, it brings teh cute and makes Mom melt. If I really want to get cute points, I stick out a paw or a foot like here.

Hello!

Dis is my first post. I have dis housemate. Or liddle brudder - whatever. He's annoying. I don't like him. He tries to make me like him, but I don't like him and I always will. So I have to find places to sleep where he will leave me alone. I have so many that I need a blog to keep track. I plan to post pictures and tell you about my favrites. Mostly I stay on the second floor, but I have good places downstairs, too.
Ooops. I hear the car. Don't want to be caught blogging! I'll be back soon.
